Die Argief fondsinsameling het tot ‘n einde gekom! Na 10 weke met bydraes van meer as 150 Oumanne van 1947 tot 2004 kan ons met trots sê dat ons suksesvol was met ons mikpunt van R200 000 deur R206 000 in te samel.
1995 het amptelik die meeste bygedra met R35 604 op die sluitingsdatum van die projek. 1992 was tweede met R33 400. Die Plek het egter besluit om albei jaargroepe te nooi vir ‘n dinee en Pub-kuier aangesien hul so ‘n enorme bydrae gemaak het en die verskil so klein was. Voorlopig sal hulle op 24 Maart 2012 optrek na Dok se Vakansieplaas vir ‘n groot kuier. Gesels asb. met jou jaargroep se verteenwoordiger as jy in een van hierdie jaargroepe val.

Die Argief sal oor die volgende paar maande oorgedoen word en sal voltooi wees voor die eerstejaars aankom in 2012. Dit gaan fantasties lyk! Lees die Kwodpraatjies einde van die jaar om ‘n volledige verslag te kry van die projek. Sien ook Willows se website vir foto’s sodra die projek afgehandel is.
Menere dit was werklik ‘n fenominale ervaring! Die toewyding en trots van die Oumanne vir Die Plek reflekteer watter impak Wilgenhof op elkeen van ons gehad het en steeds het.

The “Argief” Revamp Financing-project has come to an end. After 10 weeks, with contributions from over 150 Oumanne spanning first years from 1947 all the way through to 2004, I can proudly tell you that we successfully raised R205 000, meeting the R200 000 goal we set out early into this project.
1995 officially raised the most, with R35 604 raised between them on the closing date. 1992 came in second place, having raised R33 400. The organisers have decided that, due to the large amount of money raised by each of these groups and the narrow gap between them, both year groups will be thrown a Dinner and Pub celebration. The preliminary date for this event is the 24th of March 2012, please speak to your representative if you are in one of these two year groups for full correspondence.

The Argief renovations will take place over the next few months, and will be fully completed with the arrival of the first years of 2012. It is going to look fantastic. A full report will be available in the Kwodpraatjies, and we will upload pictures onto the website upon it’s completion.
Menere, it has been a phenomenal experience. The devotion of the “oumanne” towards the “Plek” reflects how profoundly each one us has been and continues to be affected by the experience that is Wilgenhof.
